Brand identity, digital design, web design, and brand strategy for a financial education company.
The United States boasts the world’s biggest economy, yet ranks 14th with a financial literacy rate of less than 60%. The Minority Mindset is a financial education company on a mission to help increase that percentage, all while helping people build real wealth. Brandovate has given a new brand identity to the Minority Mindset that reflects this empowering mission.
Brandovate first collaborated with the Minority Mindset during it’s infancy back in 2015. The company first started as a YouTube channel. Slowly it expanded to include a blog, a newsletter, and some internal products. We collaborated many times throughout the years to help the company to adapt and position itself within the market.

Since the company provides financial education, we balanced the witty voice and tone of the company with a neutral and professional style guide. The color palette consists of four core colors, which serve as the foundation for all future designs. One of which, MM Guac, was added after the growing popularity of the term “Extra Guac” within the YouTube community. Helvetica was selected as the primary typeface, to bring more simplicity to the brand.
Using this new style guide we designed all website graphics, e-books, social media graphics, clothing/merch, and internal documents. We designed a special T-shirt to celebrate the achievement of 1 million YouTube subscribers.
Brandovate provided a completely new and responsive UX/UI to refresh the old website. Featuring new interface, new e-book designs, popups, custom menus, custom sliders, and more. All web assets are now on-brand with a modern yet inviting feel. We also provided mobile app UX/UI.
